Rising Appalachia is a band formed by sisters Leah and Chloe Smith, who landed in New Orleans to contribute to the city’s rebirth after Hurricane Katrina. Influenced by the soulful sounds of NoLa and their upbringing in the Deep South, their folk-roots music incorporates elements of jazz, brass, and urban storytelling. The band’s commitment to social justice shines through their activism and support for feminist, climate, and prison reform causes.

The Denver HeartQuarters aims to promote the use of plant medicine for wellness and healing. They advocate for the integration of psychedelic and natural medicines through education, therapy, and ceremonies, emphasizing the idea that we can be each other’s medicine. The organization envisions a sustainable Healing Center that encompasses education, harm reduction services, and a bridging of scientific and mystic perspectives, serving as a blueprint to legitimize the nationwide use of entheogens as sacraments and medicines.
